Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Briefly ("we", "us") is operated by eyay. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights regarding that data.

What we collect

  • Account data: email address and authentication credentials managed by Supabase Auth.
  • Profile data: display name, goals, topics, tone, and language preferences you provide during onboarding and in settings.
  • Source content: RSS feeds, URLs, and emails you forward to your Briefly inbox — processed to generate your briefings.
  • Generated content: briefings, podcast scripts, and audio files created for your account.
  • Usage data: page views via Vercel Analytics (privacy-friendly, first-party).
  • Billing data: subscription plan, status, and a Stripe customer reference. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe — they never touch our servers.

How we use your data

  • To authenticate you and operate your account.
  • To ingest, summarize, and score content against your profile using AI (OpenAI).
  • To generate and deliver weekly briefings by email (Resend) when you opt in.
  • To improve reliability and security of the service.

Third-party processors

We use Supabase (database, auth, storage), OpenAI (AI processing), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (payment processing), and Vercel (hosting). Data is processed under their respective terms and, where applicable, data processing agreements.

Sharing and publication

Briefings are private by default. If you explicitly publish a briefing, only the fields shown on the public share page are visible to anyone with the link. We do not sell your personal data.

Retention and deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings — this permanently removes your profile, sources, briefings, and stored audio files.

Email preferences

You can disable briefing emails in Settings or via the unsubscribe link in any briefing email. Bounced or complained addresses are automatically suppressed to protect deliverability.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to object to processing. Contact us at hello@eyay.studio to exercise these rights.
